Skagit Gleaners strives to help families achieve a lifestyle of sustainability, financial freedom, and community - all while keeping surplus food and goods out of overflowing landfills. Becoming a Gleaner allows you to actively participate in our array of programs and embeds you into a movement for a more equitable and resilient local food system.

What Your Membership Includes
Groceries
Shop in our market up to 3 times a week. Members average 40 lbs of recovered food per shop.
Household Goods
As a Gleaner, you will have access to our Gratitude Galleria. In the Galleria, you’ll be able to shop for household goods, clothes, infant & children’s items.
Eat Healthier
As a Gleaner, you’ll have access to fresh local produce, varieties of protein dairy, and fresh bread.
Community
Skagit Gleaners is a unique community built on collaborative cooperation between its members. Be part of a diverse group that strives to help uplift local families while using their individual talents.
Financial Flexibility
Taking part in a Gleaners membership will help you save money on your monthly food expenses and household needs.
Classes & Learning Opportunities
We partner with local groups who have the skills to teach! We host a variety of classes that you will be able to attend for free.
Market Gleans
We often get large amounts of food or goods donated like Ice Cream, Salmon, Wood, and more. As a member, you get access to these donations.
Farm Gleans
Throughout the Spring, Summer & Fall we often have opportunities to Glean fresh seasonal produce from local farms. The produce we pick is then brought back to the market to share.
Backyard Gleans
When local residents have too much produce in their yards they call us to harvest it. We bring this produce back to the market to share.
Membership Options
Option 1
Frugal Gleaner
39.50 A MONTH
Members also volunteer a minimum of 3.5 hours per month totaling 42 hours per membership year.
Option 2
Busy Gleaner
71.00 A MONTH
Members are not required to volunteer but still reap the benefits of our cooperative-led model.
Option 3
Gleans Only
125.00 ANNUALLY
Members have access to market gleans and are able to be involved in field gleans. You will not be able to shop in the market or Galleria.
Stop by anytime we are open. Bring some reusable bags with you and be able to shop from our market at the end of the tour.

My wife and I joined after long debate and hearing a lot of great things about it from friends from Church. At the time we had a few families and couples that were active with Gleaners and finally after we found out about our third child my wife and I decided what do we have to lose. So far we are enjoying being a part of such a great organization, plus being able to volunteer gives us both a bit of time each week to do something outside the house together.

I have been a member now for one full month and I am so overwhelmingly grateful !!! I was a little skeptical at first but now I’m just in awe most days that I shop. From stocking my freezer with an abundance of chicken and fish sticks, my pantry with canned goods, flour, sugar, and oil, delicious Panera bread for days, beautiful colorful cauliflower and potatoes and those zucchini’s !!!! Lemons lime oranges and pomelos (they are so good!!!) to fun new dishes, a couple of pairs of jeans, and some cute flannels !!! Thankful, grateful, blessed.
